One of the hottest coaches in America has hauled in by one of the most prestigious schools in college football. James Franklin head coach of Vanderbilt University has accepted the head coaching job at Penn State University.

The passionate and fiery coach Franklin has done an outstanding job at Vanderbilt leading the team to 3 straight bowl appearances. This is pretty significant considering that Vanderbilt had only been to 4 bowl games in their history before Franklin.

But what makes this hire even more significant, at least culturally, is the fact that in less than two weeks, two African American head football coaches hired at two of the most prestigious programs in college football. The other coach being Charlie Strong becoming the head coach at Texas. These two will be the first black head coaches to roam the sidelines at those schools.

In this video I try to explain how big of a deal this is. Also how this thing to happen for the black community.
