Finally the deal is done! Jason Kidd is now the new head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks. After a few days of waiting the deal is finally done. The Bucks acquire Kidd from the Brooklyn Nets for two 2nd round picks. One in 2015 and the other in either 2018 or 2019.

This seemed like the obvious this after the falling out between Jason Kidd and the Brooklyn Nets organization. It just seemed that the Nets had enough of Kidd and thought it was time to move on.

One key element that helped Kidd land this job in Milwaukee is his connection to new Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry. Lasry owned a stake in the Nets back when Kidd was the star PG. Also¬†Lasry also served as the point guard’s financial adviser. So that may have played a big part in this move.

In my video I discuss how all of this unfolded and how Jason Kidd burned his bridges in Brooklyn.
