Nearly a week after the NBA season has ended, Carmelo Anthony drama continues to grab the people’s attention; but it has nothing to do with the New York Knicks. According to TMZ, rumors are rampant that Anthony has impregnated a stripper, which has caused a split between him and his wife, TV personality Lala Anthony. Reports of the split broke out on Monday but the reasoning soon creeped out a day later.

The rumors were surrounding the alleged woman was soon cleared up. Baller Alert reports, instead of her being a stripper, she has a Master’s degree and is a social worker living in Chicago. But the rumor could not have come at a worst time for Melo right now. Monday, news broke of him and his wife being separated and likely heading for a divorce after 7 years of marriage. TMZ says various sources have proclaimed their marriage to be in trouble for the longest time now.

In addition to his personal woes, Melo is also facing a serious split in his professional life. Last week, team president Phil Jackson said that Anthoyn should go some place else to “chase a championship”. It was the latest incident in the longstanding public feud between the NBA susperstar and team executive.

So far all of this is just rumor and nothing has been set in stone but that goes back to Melo’s personal and professional dealings being completely in the air right now. All of these things are colliding with the fact he is 33-years-old, expecting to make $53 million within the next 2 years. It’s gonna cost somebody some big change whether it’s the Knicks releasing him or a team taking on his contract in a trade. The best thing about all of this is he has the whole offseason to focus on his marriage issues and possibly figure out the rest of his career.
