On Tuesday April 11th 2017 Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks hosted Tony Romo appreciation day. Romo participated as a member of the team for the entire day. He was able to take part in the Mavericks shoot around and the Nuggets scout team work as well. He even made a few jumpers while on the court.

Romo did a press conference before the game and even went one on one with Guard Devin Harris during warm ups. He showed some handle by using his crossover on Harris and making the shot to follow. Fans loved every bit of it.

Romo suited up in his Mavericks uniform and was introduced as a part of the team. He thanked the fans of Dallas for honoring and supporting him. He sat on the bench with the guys the entire game. With about two minutes and fourteen seconds left in the game Romo stood by the scores table teasing as if he was about to get into the game before Mark Cuban had to pull him back.

Mark Cuban said that he was willing to take a fine for letting Romo play but Adam Silver has to approve every contract and was not willing to do so. All in all, it was worth a shot and it was a great night for Romo and the fans.
