Gregg Popovich has spoken all season about how impressed he’s been with his team’s resilience. After getting their hearts broken on the game’s biggest stage last season, the San Antonio Spurs showed up willing to put in the work required to get back there. It’s been discussed to death, but it really is incredible that essentially the same group that lost Games 6 and 7 of the NBA Finals last year was able to return and dominate the Miami Heat like this.

That was the message of Popovich’s post-game speech in the Spurs locker room, where — after a playful jab at modest Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard — he told his players how he felt.
