Pop singer Whitney Houston, 48, was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton Hotel just days before the 2012 Grammys.  LL Cool J was the host of those Grammys and opened the show with a prayer for the iconic singer.

Eerily, just three years later, Bobbi Kristina Brown, singer Bobby Brown and Houston’s 21-year-old daughter, is in critical condition after being found facedown in her bathtub on January 31, 2015.

The 2015 Grammys will be airing live on Sunday, February 8, 2015, and LL Cool J has told Us Weekly that there will not be any special announcement or tribute made for Whitney Houston’s daughter.

“I just wish her a speedy recovery,” he told Us at the V.S.O.P. Privilege Cognac’s Pre-Grammywhitbobbibw Dinner in Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 7. “I don’t want to impose some kind of public thing on her family’s personal moment and so it’s not my place to kind of go there. I’d rather just pray whitbobbicolorthat she has a speedy recovery and that her family is around her. We’ll see what happens, I just wish her the best. That’s tough. The timing is quite…is quite tough.”

This marks LL Cool J’s fourth year hosting the show, and he says that he wants the focus to remain on the musicians.

“Tomorrow is about those artists and about those guys who came out who were nominated and performing, we want to keep the show [about] that,” he continued.

whitdediThe Grammys were shocked and stunned in 2012 as word of Whitney Houston’s mysterious death spread throughout the artists in attendance.  In addition to LL Cool J’s prayer, Jennifer Hudson also honored Whitney Houston with a rendition of Houston’s hit cover of “I Will Always Love You.”

There is a shroud of mystery surrounding the circumstances of Bobbi Kristina’s eerily similar drowning.  She remains fighting for her life, while her family members including grandmother Cissy Houston and Bobby Brown are holding a vigil at her bedside praying for her recovery.
